Will you be willing to play requests and discuss music ahead of time?
Dancehall DJs provide our clients with a comprehensive contract and wedding planner designed to insure that every aspect of your special day goes according to plan. If at any time in the planning process you need assistance, a Dancehall DJs representative will be willing and able to assist you as needed.
Do you use Professional Equipment?
Simply put, Dancehall DJs use the finest professional grade audio and lighting equipment. Each of our four wedding rigs is identically outfitted with B-52 Dual CD Players, Mackie Powered Speakers, Serato Live Software, & an optional Chauvet Light Show.
Do you provide backup equipment at my event?
All of our wedding rigs are outfitted to operate independently in the unlikely event of the failure of any one of the components. You have enough to worry about on your big day, your disc jockeys equipment failing should not be one of your concerns.
Does the Disc Jockey know the proper etiquette for our wedding?
Dancehall DJs perform at an average of 50 weddings per year, and our experience shows. Each of our deejays fully understands the intricacies necessary to make your event a complete success.
How much time do you allow for set-up?
To us, punctuality is a must. As such, Dancehall DJs will be fully set up prior to your first guests’ arrival at the reception. Additionally, all set up and break down time is factored into our hourly rate…you pay only for the time we are entertaining you and your guests.
Do you provide a written contract?
For the protection of all parties, Dancehall DJs does indeed provide our clients with a written contract. In order to reserve your date, we require that this one page document be completed in full and returned along with a deposit check.
Will you be suitably dressed for our occasion?
In accordance with the type of event & your personal preference, Dancehall DJs always dress to impress.

Disc Jockey rates vary based on talent, experience, emcee ability, service, coordination, equipment needed, music knowledge, mixing ability and personality.
Rates for the DJ industry vary greatly, ranging from $350.00 to over $5,000.00 with an average of $1,200.00 for a 4 hour booking. The best price is not always the best deal, especially if you are planning a wedding. A full-service disc jockey company will normally invest 12 to 30 hours to your special event but it may appear that you are only paying for "4 hours". Consultations, music purchasing & editing, preparation, set-up and tear-down, education and other business related endeavors add up to the overall success of your special occasion.
